Marthoman Vidyapeedom Public School was established in the holy place Niranam In the year 2005 was the fulfillment of the long cherished dream of the natives of Niranam Church to provide facilities for good education to the new generation. His Holiness Baselios Marthoma Didymos II, The Malankara Metropoltan, The Supreme head of the Malankara Orthodox Church and Catholicos of the East, inaugurated the Marathoman Vidyapeetham Public School on December 21, 2005, admitting five children. This school was started with the aim of providing good education as it is located at the confluence of the famous Niranam Church, Thrikkapaleshwara Temple, and Malik Dinar Mosque in Niranam, Thiruvalla Taluk. The School functioning in CBSE based syllabus by starting with play school, L.K.G., U.K.G., and 1st std. under the leadership of Mount Tabor Convent sisters.

NOW MVPS is one of the most prestigious institution in Central Travancore managed by St. Mary’s Orthodox Church Educational and Charitable Society Under Niranam Church with a view to impart excellent modern education for the students from all the country by harmoniously blending the above concepts. MVPS had a noble idea of providing sound education to the fullest form. The school is affiliated to CBSE, Delhi, completing its nineteen academic years with classes from KG to X, situated in a serene surrounding. Effective classroom teaching goes on without any disturbance giving more emphasis to individual attention to each, and terminal examinations are conducted. We aim to achieve and develop all rounds of the student and to bring out the potentialities irrespective of the students socio-economic background.
